Have you thought about log shipping, replication or database mirroring? Here is a link you might want to look at that describes all three options.

What type of authentication are you using, windows only, or sql server and windows? Try logging on with windows authentication instead of the SA id.

Do not use the "Attempt to repair any minor problems" option. This will put your database in single user mode and can cause unforseen problems.
