I think in a true production environment, you'd have to add offsite storage. Shipping hard drives off site could be tricky, dropping a hard-drive would be alot more costly...

OK - here's a question - why are holes and islands such a bad thing in an identity field? Should the always be 'closed up' ?

Does anyone know if SQL2005 has integration into sourcesafe? I thought there was something out there (a 3rd party tool) that allowed SQL to integrate with vss?

We had this problem and it was a pain to resolve.
