The server has apublic IP and currently does not sit behind a firewall. We have no choice but to use mixed mode logins. Can't change the ports at this time...

Well, I just went ahead and mirror the OS and did a raid 5 on my external arrary. Wow 820 GB of available space.

Could this same method be used to move only the log files for the master, msdb and model databases?

It shows the owner as: serverName\Nt loginID.
Indiviudal is a member of built in administrators group.

What is looks like when you expand a db and the highlight users is:
name login name database access
dbo ...

It almost seems like the initial password for the login is blank. And (I'm not really saying this) the passwords haven't been modified in a long time.

Brian, the really strange thing is when I put in the confirming password (I know it is correct), EM tells me it is wrong. So I have to put it...
