had any trouble when installing? can you post the error from the log file should be in a path like C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\

when you run the uninstaller go to database engine it will ask you which one to uninstall

running sp2 and cu pack 6 but just cause of an error otherwise wouldnt have installed it before sp3

don't know of a way there only down to database file level for everything more detailed I guess you have to buy some additional software if there is any even...

true that there is only a system view for index size and sp_spaceused the only way to determine the table size itself

Check what locks are held on the tables in question, there might be shared locks from your select statement because you are not using an index the update might not...
