I'm not confront of my machine right now but under solution explorer if you right click on the solution name and select properties you will see it on the top...

This error has been sorted. I changed the debug option ‘Run64BitRuntime’ to False and it worked.

I had the same problem; Icouldn't start the service; state = Change pending ... ; start mode = automatic. I simply restarted the server/standalone machine and was able to login...

Problem sorted,

I went to my services and set service MSSQLServerADHelper startup type to Automatic then changed logon as to Local System, and the installation went through without any issues
