The state is "RECOVERING".
Say if there was some insert statement runing while i am doing a full backup and the insert was nto complete by the time backup finished, so...

Hmm, is there a way to find when the restore would FINISH.

The qry gives no waiting time it assumes 100% complete but the restore statement issues first is not compelted yet though the database state is "in recovery" instead of "restoring..."

yes, from the actvity monitor (sp_who2) it shows me as rolling back.

the percent complete for the sesison i am looking is "0", does it mean it is not rolling back at all?

OK guys.. now i see the log saying database is receovring 11% not sure how long it would take, it is 2.5TB database.
