Try these steps.

1. Connect sepcifying Ip adress and port.

eg. 192.168.1.10,1207

2. Check firewall is blocking the port.. if so give exceptions for that port in firewall settiongs. and start sql srvice...

check firewall setting...and put it off and try..

also.. check the SS in branch computer for mixed mode authentication

once you change the authentication type restart the computer.

Try these..

1) Double check the security of your SQL server to make sure that whether it supports windows intrgrated authentication and sql server

authentication. (MIXED MODE)
