You may be right because it runs fine when I run it on Dev box which has SQL 2005 on it.

Nothing. A window flashes for a milli sec..I'm not able to find what the exact error is...
Does the command look ok to you?

The format file is actually created by a developer, so I've no clue what you are trying to say..

If I run sp_who2, will I be able to identify what the job is doing? And depending on that, can I take action(killing the process)?
Say if there are 10 jobs...

I'm trying to figure out how to get the server to normal state when I see hung jobs.
Any ideas?

This is a test server, so I restarted sql services and the db went to "in recovery" mode. So, I just waited till the database went into normal mode...

I see the status is in SUSPENDED mode and the command shows as "KILLED/ROLLBACK". Not sure if it's trying to rollback but it's taking helluva time.

I may be wrong but I was under the assumption that truncate table doesn't consume time at all irrespective of the number of the records.
It has close to 25...
