The quickest way to solve this is to just install SQL 2008 Mgt Studio.

Thanks everyone for your input.  I did an Edition upgrade and it says succeeded.  It stated it applied this to AS and RS as well.

I guess I should have done a quick internet search first.   Microsoft does have the ability to upgrade Editions.  I will try that first and kick the tires of it...

 I have a server running that build and am not experiencing that issue.  However, this is a very low end application.

One should always verify backups on a regular basis and make sure they have a good disaster recovery plan.

I don't believe you need to run the update usage anymore.  That was really for databases going from SQL 2000 to a newer version.

I installed our first SQL2016 with CU2 applied and this is what I have noticed.  If you create a Maint plan with a SQL Server auth ID it doesn't keep...

With the number of SQL Server instances we have here there is no way I could apply most of the CUs that are released.  The amount of application folks testing...

From what little I have read SQL Server on Linux, at this point, is missing some key features.  I can say I am not a fan of black screen command...
