  • RE: Installing SQL SP2

Nevermind. Resolved it. I had File Sharing off so the install couldn't get to admin shares on other cluster nodes.

  • RE: Group Dependency

I don't believe you can set dependencies at the group level. Groups are containers for resources that are being clustered (like drives and SQL instance components). These resources...

  • RE: Cluster

So you are starting up your cluster and the Cluster IP Resource is not online?

Is that Cluster IP in use elsewhere?

This is a 2 node cluster? I assume there...

  • RE: Cluster Install...help!@#$!

    PROBLEM SOLVED.

I did get SQL 2000 Enterprise to install properly on the 2-nodes. Thanks bkelley for finding the KB article and an MS support rep for providing an alternate...

  • RE: Cluster Install...help!@#$!

Pure economics. Not just a 2nd server would be needed....2 servers would be to provide fault tolerance for AD/Clusters ability to run/etc. Hopefully at a later date we...

I didn't ask about support. I believe they gave you...

  • RE: Incepto's SQLUP1.2?

I downloaded a demo a while back, but after talking to the developer of it (who are actually in Israel) they recommended going with MSCS and SQL Enterprise.

    They license their...

  • RE: Clustering and Disk Access

I was actually planning on protecting that drive via RAID 1 (mirroring).

So that would cover the single point of failure.

  • RE: Clustering SQL and Scale-Out

    Thanks a lot Wes.

So a single bus on a single array for an active/active setup. So could a physical disk be broken into 2 logical drives (F/G) and servera...

  • RE: Clustering SQL and Scale-Out

So can the drives/partitions that each server has primary access to and will have their SQL databases stored on be on the same bus of the scsi array?

    If they can...
