Thanks for the reply...The stored procedure accesses the view but not the table...I could not add any indexes to the views formed by the unions ...The view has around 50...

you can use import and export wizard...you can find this wizard in BIDS...you just follow that wizard starting with the selection of source for MicrosoftExcel..It takes you to the end...

it dynamically takes the server names from the configuration file...so u need to change the configuration file regularly to shift the servers....may be there should be any other way to...

It looks like the agent service does not have required access to both the instances...make sure that the account on which the sql server agent runs, has all the rights...
