We have sql server mirroring to a DR DB Server and commvault backups Full (weekly) Transaction logs (every 4 hours)

Apart from plucking up the transaction logs...

Is the report lying on how much data space is being used?

Hmm UAT doesn't have 100% of the tempdb.mdf file set to unallocated either, most of it is but not 100%. Same for the prod server for another product.

But is it actually possible to have Mirroring and log shipping and from the same DB? Plus what is the typical approach? Is this a non-standard approach to interrogating production...

I'd rather leave the Mirroring in place and have additional log shipping, I'd be interested in your opinions

Given the Certificate is Encrypted by the master key and the master key is stored inside my BanditDB.

I don't think I can delete the cert or the master...
