short answer:
DB1, min 6-7 GB, unlimited max
DB2, min 3-4 GB, unlimited max
as it is currently configured, you have 40 GB of ram and only 18 GB can be used...

You may need to change your file cache settings. We've had similiar problems with large file copies causing paging.
check these two registry keys:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\Size
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\LargeSystemCache
They should be equal...

Unless I'm missing something big, there is no reason to replicate a windows page file as it's temporary storage. It would be like replicating the san volumes for tempdb....
