How can i restore the .bak file to .mdf and ldf

Cant backup the system database but all other databases are backup.

I have my backups and some databases within the sql server are still running while the one i just shut down cannot start.

The scheduled job has been modified.

i have a netbackup technology in place now thats doing the generally backup .

pls help am running out of space and need to either reschedule it or disable the backup.
