Just a thought but have you tried an access project rather than an .mdb?
Smaller footprint and quicker than a straight database.

I believe that you can only restore master to the same location.

My understanding:
The default of owner dbo only works for those with sysadmin.
Others that can create object have to qualify the name with dbo.new_object_name.
