That was what I thought. Since I set the max memory to use then queries shouldn't use anymore than that.

As a test I just ran a query to select * records from a table with over a million records in it and the memory usage spiked to maximum (8GB)....

I don't see any oher process that would be using all of this RAM.
At the moment Task Manager is stating that over 7GB of RAM...

When I stopped and restarted the SQLAgent it worked fine. Weird!
