Just wondering, when they will reboot the server,
all the sql services will automatically be stopped and restarted...
Why you need to manually stop the services first then .?

Firstly do a check db integrity, then do rebuild indexYou don't need an update stats if you doing a rebuild index.

You can't make direct updates to system tables from 2005 onwards. Use ALTER LOGIN instead.See here:
