my bad,
the shrinkfile will not help for this.
it will reduce size if the log is full.

in asp your app is using an odbc connection.
when you migrated u, need to modify the odbc to look at the new server/instance

with triggering you have 3 options.
insert
delete
update
in case 2 above in writes data to a 'deleted' table.

i did have this some time ago, it was the date settings on the server.
it didnt look at '/' as a seperator only a '-'.

yip, was a update trigger trying to update. this was on 2000,when i double clicked the sspid under the locks/objects, it showed the query locking.
