Unfortunately, I get the same error. Is there possibly a setting that I am overlooking?

You are absolutely right. I was getting a little myopic. Thanks for getting me back on track.

That worked, except I had to take out the 'a'. I got a message saying "Incorrect syntax near 'a'". This is what it looks like now:

update TempTotal

set ...

Thank you very much! That worked. I was on the right track, except I forgot to convert the integer to a string.
