None that i know of, I've actually seen a huge improvement using win 08 and sql 08.

I had the same issue on one of my VM's i was testing 08 on awhile back, you should be able to run Repair feature of setup through the SQL...

The .net 3.5 sp1 is a preq for 2008, you could try to install .net 3.5 sp1 before running the sql set up.

I've seen that before, I would just remove it as a dependency, take the node offline then re-add as dependency then bring it back online, if this a production environment...

Hard to say without a bit more information.

this script can help trouble shoot the problem, its sp_who2 w/views, the last column will give you and xml link you can open...

You would have to change the store proc's related to those jobs, which isnt recommended. If you do that I would suggest a testing server... or you could use SQL...
