I've tried both, but ended up going with Embarcadero's Backup Analyst, which does the same thing as both. I like Idera's interface and features over Imceda's, but (like you) I...

Yep - no java in ER Studio as others have stated. And it is for data modeling only. Now, Embarcadero does have a UML modeling tool called Describe, which is...

Um, just one clairfication - ER Studio has zero Java (no java engine, etc.) in it, all developed in house (being close, we visited their Monterey lab) and we've used the scripting...

Not sure about your need to reverse engineer .NET projects, but for data modeling, we switched to Embarcadero ER Studio from ERwin and are very happy with the change.

A couple of us use DBArtisan from Embarcadero. The built-in performance analyst monitor works real well.

Have you manually set your max server memory config parm? If so, then I'd let SQL Server have a try at dynamic allocation (and "unset" that parm). If not, then...

We use Embarcadero's products and like them a lot. We use DBArtisan with the Performance Analyst monitor for real time monitoring and use Performance Center (separate product) for 24 x...

We use Embarcadero's Rapid SQL, which has built in source code control support for sourcesafe, PVCS, etc. (we use sourcesafe). Good IDE, versioning, check-in, out, etc. Works well for us. ...

We use Change Manager from Embarcadero, which works real well. It does not only SQL Server, but Oracle and the other platforms as well although we just use it for...

We use version 1.9 for Oracle and SQL Server (both 7 and 2000) and it works fine for us. Funniest thing it caught were SQL backups that weren't running -...
