At the moment, it retrieves all entries from the table despite having a filter condition. As you correctly pointed out, indexes don't seem to be significantly impactful in this situation....

2 days old backup is clean. Is there no other way as I don't find any user tables corrupted.

If you have installed and uninstalled few times on this machine, then there might be some objects remaining from a previous installations. In that case make sure to completely clean...
