This issue has been resolved as there was a change in java code .... the code has been revert back .... not required a professional we hav to belive in...

i hav used exists but there is no use same result...

i m hving a clusterd index on the column which cantain some duplicate records may be more than 1000 ....table contain more thn 10 millions of records....

There is no issue wth indexes but i reboot my database server and it was workin fine ... application is on different server ... users fetch and insert data...

this is the query taking time 1st it was taking only 2sec now it takes 40 to 60 secs .... databse size 18 GB ,ram 3 GB
sqlserver taking more...

wat u do is jus check indexes with dbcc showcontig and if u are getting the same result drop and recreate the indexes .... and try to create cluster...

About archiving the data u jus need to transfer ur old data to ur history table ...... Archiving Data improves ur performance ..
