i think we can edit the .dtproj without installing SQL server 2005. If we have Vs.Net 2005 team suite installed then it will let you modify / create new SSIS...

i have tried uninstall/install of .Net framework 3.5 and SP1 both.
I don't see any other log in C:\Program files\Microsoft SQL server folder,

There are following folders at
. 20081215_161950
. 20081215_162055
. Watson_1
and only 20081215_162055 folder has the file SystemConfigurationCheck_Report.htm
The other folders under 20081215_162055 are
. Datastore
. Datastore_ComponentUpdate
. Datastore_GlobalRules
. resources

The same information in the file
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20081215_162055\SystemConfigurationCheck_Report.htm
But its getting updated. The date this file last modified is 15/12/2008 when i tried to install SQL 2008 first time.
