Will SSDT sync the local project and the physical database automatically? My devs make changes direct to DB in our dev/uat env.

We have a UAT and PROD DB and as developers we modify the UAT environment directly. Then script out any changes for PROD.
We did request a copy of Redgate...

Yes this is what went for in the end. Opening in sublime and copying and pasting the relevant xml. Saved so much time!!!

I was going to do this - but can't find a way of building 2008r2 packages from msbuild. Is there something I'm missing?

All our packages are run via dtexc on a dedicated server - so trying to decide...

Thanks Ed - some interesting reading there. Didn't realise SSDT was so useful! Also the SQL Developer Licences are cheap enough for us to move towards a developer instance model.

Thanks - this definitely improve things. The query alone is now much faster - however the join with the exception table is very slow.
