well... instead of reinventing the wheel up front, i'll
think i'll browse the net for some scripts which will do this.
i'll also deconstruct one of the packages via vb, and see...

yes... it's a real pain, and we are all putting up with it. you could just
use the (ctrl+shft+tab) to scroll between tabs, but that might feel like the
same thing....

what about xp_cmdshell with jobs?
i understand you can start a job from a different server, but can't
find any good examples.

well not really a spid associated with this i don't think. i'm seeing the value
from this:

actually... i am running across the same thing. what other way
is there to see which jobs are currently running? besides
looking at Management Studio, or EM of course.
