really a strange case. RID n:nnnnn error\ index chain error should have been generated when checkdb\checktable was executed.

Since ur using 3rd party util, better verify it with your vendor whether their interpretation is the same. I am not sure whether your vendor is using SQL Server...

I dont think this will work in 7.0 though I have not tested it yet. sysaltfiles in 7.0 doesnt contain user db info.
