Funny you should mention an 800Gb database Grant..that is how big this database is!. It is a SharePoint 2007 Content Database. The recommendation is that they don't go over 100Gb...

So the hard part of this is simply finding a hard drive big enough to store what's on there now. It sounds like it's basically reformatting the hard drive..only scarier.

So eventually it failed and when i shut it down and read the report it says to run:
"setup /q /action=uninstall /instanceid=MSSQLSERVER /features=SQLEngine,Replication,FullText"
Does anyone happen to know what directory this has...
