I have done that and little changed .The problem seems to be sp_grantlogin cannot be run inside begin and end...Not sure how to go about it

Some of the aspects will come with time.I am assuming you guys have a naming convention  so that users are not inclined to give you complete sentences including a period...

insert the contents of tab2 into tab3 since it has multiple values.

Update tab3 and the values of tab1 will...

Are you saying when some one has read only access they will have shared blocking locks on tables they query?

Your view will select sessions that are blocked...

The question seemed to be asking for a listing of those who are blocked and those who are  causing the blocking

Let me clarify ,sorry for the ambiquity.

Once the attach involves a file move to  the EMC it fails.But it works anyway on the local C and D drives it works.

Database comes up in read only mode.

Or cannot create database error.

Or failed to recognize  or Server: Msg 5105, Level 16, State 4, Line 1.

There is no defaultdata and defaultlog values...
