Is there any harm in running the integrity check and a full index re-org every night as part of your nightly maint?

That does make sense.
Small indexes don't warrant the extra work of locating their own space just for them, so if it is less than 8 pages SQL Server just looks...

Would you mind explaining why it is fragmented?
Does it have to do with how the index is built and because it is such a small index it just appears fragmented...

If I remove security from the database it works fine (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa141436(office.10).aspx)
Otherwise I get that error.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.
Rights to view all data tables for reporting purposes.
So they can't change anything, but they sure as heck could open up Access or Excel or whatever, connect...
