I think the jet engine is only 32 bit, so you would need to drop the package down to 32 bit if you wanted to use the jet engine.

That could be anything..what mdx generates the error...are any events logged...are any dump files written...what does your ssas config have for memory settings...did you run a profiler and capture all...
