Actually i had SQL server 2005 in window 2008.
First, detached the Database.
Second, Uninstalled sql 2005 and installed sql 2008.
third, Attached the Database.
I could attach the first mdf file....

Yes G and H are local drives.
We have reported the problem to the windows team. They are working on it.
I will keep updated when i get any updates...

I m receiving below error when I am trying to copy the backup file from H:\Full to G:\.
Error: Invalid MS Dos function.

Yes .you are right.
I would keep the instance directory in C:\ Drive and use the 2 other drive assigned for data. am I right?
