So since the Database Services, Analysis Services are cluster aware, there's not even a need for a failover?

Yes the vendor was very adamant about keeping the versions separate. So would I install 2008 and then an instance of 2005?

Upon closer inspection, that query didn't work. I'm thinking that this is a dead end since the same columns have to be in the query 🙁
