I do not mean to disrespect anyone, but it is my humble opinion that every one is going on the wrong branch on this topic , mostly irrelevant.

Case in point...

Setting the max server memory to a sensible value as Gail put it worked.

The SQL server memory utilization is now going beyond the previous 6.5GB mark.

I set it to 14GB /14336 MB
