Never figured out how to get it to work. I'm doing my MCSE for business intelligence, so I'm sure I'll figure it out some day.

Yup, I actually tried out the default values script and it works awesome. No settings, just sraight insert statements.
Thanks for the input. Hopefully someone else gained additional understanding as well.

I could absolutely see how using multiple instances of SQL server would improve performance if say most of the tables in one instance were being read and the other instance...
