Hi, you say in your post you still need to sign up to have access to the Big data Cluster Images. Are you sure that's still the case?

You're right, AWE is not required on a 64 Bit system running 64 Bit version of SQL, it could just be that what you're using that box for has not...

It may be worth checking your physical join operators as well, as I've encountered performance issues with stored procedures during migrations from 2000 to 2008...

You could try running DBCC UPDATEUSAGE first and then using the system views to get an accurate row count, if you're using your original query with the WHERE clause still...

Robocopy's great, use it as part of a log shipping solution, I'd recommend not implementing any logging if moving large files though...
