I also failed to understand the logic beyond this question because if I try to fire this query

WITH Users(UserID, UserName)

AS( SELECT TOP 1 intUserID, strUserName FROM tblUsers)

SELECT TOP...

I m also expiriencing the same problem(inserting Details on VSS2008 BI) it seems as it has limited properties.and Also grouping are not user friendly like previous virsions
