Sorry, but how do I determine they are running client tools from SQL 2000?

Is there a way to calculate the time will take to upgrade the SQL 7 databases?  I have 8 databases with various number of tables, but 4 are 15 gb...

I used restore database.  I copied the backup file from the production box to the development box, then restored using that disk file.
