The issue was definitely the raid controller in our case. SQL Server has memory levels configured for 64GB because we use 2008 R2 standard and the OS has plenty available...

Clustering can be a very nice convenience, however, there is still the cost of ownership for the hardware to properly backup that type of HA solution. I'm not 100% sold...

The retail version is still unavailable for those that do not have an MSDN license. Microsoft's store says coming soon still...even for the download version.
