So I figured out a work around using
and Data.value('(/Data/Type)[1]', 'nvarchar(100)') is not null
but if anyone else knows another option, always good to know...

Hi Joe,
I found the downloaded excel file was in "General" format.
I needed to submit this file for processing thru an SFTP site, and wouldn't accept it as "General" and needed...

Found it! ! Googled my own question... lol
If anyone is interested, when downloading to CSV , probably excel also, it uses the Textbox name....

I write the table to a DB I store the Stored procs. Just read from the replicated DB

I was way off it's an nvarchar(MAX) field. I put a sample below of what the field contains.
