D is not completely correct, either. If I/O is not the problem, changing the parm may help, but the server might already be doing the best that it can.

I don't think that there is a totally correct answer to choose from. According to BOL, increasing the value of the option might help in certain situations.

The question says that you want to "ensure" that point in time will work. With bulk-logged, you can't "ensure" that it will work, because of the caveat.
