  • RE: Export Output/Log Info to .CSV

The company wants to use Control-M, which is our standard scheduler. Control-M is Unix based. Here are the planned steps:

    1. Control-M calls a PowerShell script.

    2. PowerShell script calls...

  • RE: Export Output/Log Info to .CSV

Thanks, here is some more information.

We are trying to run an SSIS package that processes an SSAS Tabular model. Also, the SSIS package calls a dtsconfig file. Can...

  • RE: Dumping Out SSAS Settings

Thanks, but I can't find the item in the specified directory.

  • RE: 100 Concurrent Queries

Good point, I'll pass that information along to the team.

Has anyone actually use SSAS Tabular with a lot of users? It seems like most of the people I've come...

  • RE: 100 Concurrent Queries

We modified the TreadPool\Query\MaxThreads property to 32 (we have 16 cores on our server). That did allow for more queries to run simultaneously, but not all 100 of them....

We have a special situation here, but I wonder if...

  • RE: Multidimensional vs Tabular

Thanks for the link! I don't see where they mention Big Data, but this is useful nevertheless.

Something to take into account: Tabular (and Power BI) can connect directly...

  • RE: Multidimensional vs Tabular

Yes, I'm actually starting to question the value of using Big Data for data warehousing. It seems like a lot of work just to re-invent the wheel.

  • RE: Creating a View in Another Database Using OpenQuery

Fortunately, this is just a proof of concept, but you are right. I followed your advice and let the Hive expert/DBA create the view. I was just being...
