where SERVER is the servername who SQL server databas is running.

I create a windows account with a 'DOMAIN\GROUP'.
The error message is:
Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\USER'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18456).
I try to connect to SQL Server database with 'DOMAIN\USER'...

I resolve the problem editing on publication server (SRV2) the hosts file to resolve the remoter hostname to the remote ip (Host file location is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\)

Hi all,
Finally created the DB-LINK from SRV3 putting the all domain information as server name (SRV3.SUBDOMAIN.DOMAIN).

There are information that i considered important:
SRV2: SQL Server 2008 is in CLUSTER.
Also if we connected from SRV2 via SQL Server Management Studio using SRV3 IP number we can open...
