  • Reply To: Put Your Data in a Box

Thanks for this editorial. About 10 years ago I found a nifty Power Point presentation that a physicist (or two) at CERN had put together for a presentation regarding their...

  • Reply To: Lots of data in RAM

Ahhh, Computer Shopper! Thanks for the memory! I remember I had an "Internet Directory" book that looked like a phone book with all of the websites listed (supposedly) in it....

  • RE: We Want Maturity, But Is It Fun?

For myself, I think it is being pleasantly surprised occasionally in my work and that can mean a lot of things. If it's just about punching a checklist then I'll...

  • RE: Learn More than Technology

Great topic Steve and excellent advice. I particularly like the suggestion that you define success on your own terms. Comparing your life to someone else's is only marginally informative. You...

  • RE: Forgiveness

I generally see two kinds of mistakes: process and technical. The process mistakes happen usually because the process isn't well defined in the organization and that's management's fault for not...

  • RE: The Best Days

It was June, 6 1944 ... Normandy, France... the coast. My laptop had just crashed and Ike was on the horn wanting to know why those trucks weren't moving.... ahhh......

  • RE: Importing Tricky CSV Files with PowerShell

Thanks for sharing this. Reminded me how much I hate comma delimited files, arguably the worst idea ever to take off in data processing. I'm mean seriously, of all the...
