Try updating the connection string to include "IMEX=1" - this should tell the OLEDB provider to treat all cells as text. FOr more info - see https://www.connectionstrings.com/excel/

SSRS does not implement all of the HTML tags and CSS attributes - I think that what you are wanting (is it the back ground colour?) is actually not supported....

You will need to de-install the SSAS Multi Dimensional instance and then install the Tabular instance. You do not need to de-install anything else as part of this process....
