No i am not able to change the source.
column_name is not the name of the column, it just mentions the name of the column that is in the source.

Hi ,
thanks for the reply , actually it was nothing to do with the float data type.There were nulls in the source table so i was getting null.I just overlooked...

Thanks for the help , i had created a services account and through that i was running the packages now.They are working fine.
