  • RE: Can Transactional replication be implemented for tables without primary keys

    Hi

    1. The primary key is used by the transaction process in replication to track records. Are the tables with no primary keys being updated regularly or are they rebuilt everyday....

  • RE: Why do my subscriptions keep expiring?

    Hi,

What frequency are you running the snapshot replication?

Have you thought of changing the setting from Never Expire to expire after 336 hours ?

  • RE: Transactional Replication (SQL 2000, SP4)

    Hi,

Does that error occur after you've inserted the data at the subscriber end and attempt to run the ditribution agent?

Are all these tables you've done this with part of the...

  • RE: deployment documentation

    Hi,

Just to add to the discussion 🙂

We have a strict change control system and the change MUST go through test and be tested before it gets near to going to...

  • RE: Replication__Distributor

    Hi,

The snapshot will only be applied to the subscriber that has been reinitialized (unless it is Snapshot replication)

The logreader will continue to process records for the other subscribers.

  • RE: Using xp_smtp_sendmail (Some minor Issues)

    Hi,

The smtp procedure indeed has a variable called @server. This is what is used to define the email server. In our case it is simply the name of...

  • RE: Naming standards for Database Users.

    Not really.

Other than keep them consistent and not obvious.

  • RE: Replication

    Hi,

I'm not sure your distribution issues are responsible for all your errors...

Number 3 on your list looks suspect...looks like the data may be changing on the subscriber...is this right?

  • RE: Moving the distributor

    Hi,

I have a feeling that it is not possible to move the distribution database.

You might have to remove replication entirely so that the distribution database files are created on the...

  • RE: Design considerations for Replication

    Hi,

I don't think you have that much to be concerned with when it comes to design.

There are a few rules that apply to replication...such as some datatypes cannot be replicated...

  • RE: Scripting Replication

    Yes...I can't type very well....Scripting Replication

  • RE: Merge replication remove indexes on subscribers

    Hi,

Within your Article default settings, I assume the table is dropped and recreated as part of the snapshot. Are the boxes ticked for Nonclustered indexes within the Objects to be...

  • RE: Unable to truncated log after restoring replicated

    Hi,

For the sake of tidying up your environment, can you configure the database as a publisher. You can then run sp_repldone...truncate and then disable the database as as publisher.

  • RE: Transactional Replication

    Sorry..forgot to mention.

You could have your FKs not for replication, that way they will ignore the violation caused by the replicated commands.

My question would then be, why do you need...
