You will just have to run sp_change_users_login 'update_one' for each user on failover.

thanks. yes it is pretty dumb, especially as SQL2000 could handle any requirements fine. I will have to layout my backups and maintenance plans to work around this foible, though...

you could just go through and change the owner of the jobs the maintenance plan creates in SQLAgent, effect will be the same.

ok, solved out 'cannot generate sspi context' error -
as machine had dropped out of domain we -
moved computer to its own workgroup
deleted computer name entry from AD
moved computer back to...

what a palaver! One wonders why SSIS is not cluster aware when DTS was. More work for Microsoft to do surely.
They give with one hand by making Analysis services cluster...

AS400 so presume the database is DB2? You will need to install the DB2 client software on your SQL...
