Hi..Thanks to all for giving your inputs.
I believed that all sql server services will automatically stopped and restarted in the time of rebooting..But i don't know in our team...

Did you check sql server logs/error logs and event log (Windows) to see if you canget more detail of the error.

To my knowledge..Sql Server 2000 doesn't work on windows 2008..

If you have Sql server 2005(64bits) ,it will supports up to 1 TB data..So no need to configure the AWE

You had better to configure AWE setting..no matter whether you have 4GB,16GB,32GB..Max memory used for Sql Server was only 4GB..You can overcome 4GB by using AWE

usually differential backups treated as an incremental backups..i don't think both are different..
In sql server if anything modified after taking the fullback it will be recorded in page as...
