Can the FULL backup be restored from the appliance in a NORECOVERY state and then the transaction logs restored from the other appliance without any issues.

FYI for anyone needs an answer like I did: the vendor maintains a suite of databases specifically for deployment, built from scratch.
So I'll be fine to go with the restore...
